Spaceball 5000 as a trackball mouse

Post by aundregrande » Thu Jan 31, 2013 7:29 pm

Hello all, I was wondering if there was a way to use a Spaceball 5000 as a trackball mouse. It would make a killer gaming mouse, with all of the macro buttons, plus all of the buttons for sensitivity and such. Anyways, I am open to loading a new driver, even if it isn't designed specifically for this device. Is this possible? What (if any) software would I need?

Thanks,
Andre

The Spaceball 5000 is too old, but the modern devices can be used for mouse and joystick applications with the [in beta] 3DxWare 10 driver.

Is there any chance that the new driver will work with the old device?
