Re: Firefox + Onshape Problem

Hi HeavyTeva , However, based on your response I went back into the Certificate Manager in Firefox, this time clicking the "Edit Trust" button for the 3Dconnexion CA. None of the trust settings were selected. I clicked / checked the box next to "This certificate can identify websites". My 3D mouse n...

Re: Properties panel slow to display

I just posted this in another topic that may be relevant here. Basically, the CLR loader will attempt to validate the Authenticode signature of 3DxSmartUi.exe. If the system blocks access to the DigiCert web site to retrieve the certificate revocation lists, the validation will fail but only after a...

Re: Strange 3DxPieMenus.exe Internet connection behavior

The behaviour reported in the original post is a consequence of the common-language runtime (CLR) loader connecting to the Internet to verify the executable Authenticode signature. As 3dxpiemenus.exe and other managed assemblies distributed by 3Dconnexion have an Authenticode signature (currently si...

Re: Firefox + Onshape Problem

Hi HeavyTeva, [...] When I open the 3Dconnexion Properties dialogue box in Firefox on the browser tab with Onshape, the dialogue box title / header is "Firefox". It did not change to "Onshape" like it did in Chrome. [...] Looks like Firefox is blocking Onshape's attempt to connect to the driver (whi...

Re: Properties panel slow to display

We have a report of a similar issue here. Since our executable files have a digital signature, we believe there may be a system configuration to trigger an online check to confirm the signature's validity.

As jwick mentioned, 3DxSmartUi.exe does not try to access the network.

Re: TDx.TDxInput.dll for .NET 4.0

Is this feasible?in addition, can it work when unity build to exe? Not entirely sure I follow what you're asking, 450302324. I recall seeing separate project that had support for 3Dconnexion device in Unity. Search for "SpaceNavigator" or "3Dconnexion" the Unity "Asset Store". Perhaps you can find ...

Re: Can't read mouse from firefox

Hi zacaj,

What sort of web program? Is it a 3D visualisation program?

Similarly to your experience, we have also found Gamepad API to be lacking in terms of browser support and wider acceptance.

The TestSiapp example app needs window (Form) focus to receive input. I wonder if you have any hints how to make it work while unfocused?
Refer to SiGrabDevice in the SDK documentation. It will allow your program to receive 3D mouse data when the process loses input focus.

Does the window need to be focused for input to be received?
No but it should be created by the process that creates the focus window. Ideally, you'd want to have the focus window as the parent of the hidden window or somewhere along the parent hierarchy.

So the assembly would then open a window in the background to receive input? Is there absolutely no way to avoid the creation of a window?
Correct. Having a window is required to use the driver API.

Re: TDx.TDxInput.dll for .NET 4.0

Hi Carl, How exactly do I subscribe to messages? I hope I don't need to point to a form window, because I am not sure such a concept exist in Unity. Ultimately, the driver relies on a window to send messages to. To subscribe to messages sent by the driver, the client program calls SiOpen (as demonst...

Re: 3DConnexion Drivers for Mac OS Mojave

Hi rjtiedeman, Note My iMac Pro (2017) was released 2 years ago. I came with OS Mojave installed. MacOS 10.14 shipped in late 2018 but you are right: the MAC-48 issue is also reproducible using macOS 10.13.x as we do have reports of affected systems running macOS 10.13.6. We've been looking at findi...

Re: 3DConnexion Drivers for Mac OS Mojave

Hi thejingles, After you Mac is up and running pull the receiver and reinsert it. You should then have connection. Supposed to be fixed in next release. Bob To clarify: we do not know when the issue with "having to re-plug devices" (MAC-48) can be fixed. As far as our tests show, the issue affects ...

Re: 3DConnexion Drivers for Mac OS Mojave

HI rjtiedeman , I installed the latest 10.6.3 drivers on my iMac Pro running OS 10.14.6. They are not working on restart. If I pull the USB receiver and replace everything is OK until restart. Looking forward to your next version. Alas, that's a separate issue to the notarization in macOS 10.14.5 an...
