All the buttons on my SpaceMouse Pro doesn't work in Catia V5.
Following buttons can't be programmed: ESC, SHIFT, CTRL, ALT, Rotation, 4.
In my CATIA.xml file there's some buttons with other names than in Catia and they doesn't work.. I tried to modify the CATIA.xml and rename the buttons to the same as in Catia but the 3Dconnexion-software didn't liked that... :lol:

Hi josef_samuelsson,

Try resetting the current CATIA.xml file (use the driver UI to delete the profile). Make sure that CATIA isn't running when you do that.

After relaunching CATIA, open the its button customization panel and reset the current mappings (button on the lower left corner on the panel).

I can't reproduce this with a simple test.
Can you give me some more details?
What operating system?
What language is your system configured for?
What profile are you editing?
What's the macro you are creating?
At what point does it crash? As you make the macro? As you invoke it? As you exit the macro creation dialog?
Is 3DxConfig crashing or 3DxService? What is the error message? Maybe you can post an image of the error message.

Hey, sorry it was probably a bit dickish of me to complain like this without posting full info, so here is as much as I can think you might need:

image based walkthrough of the problem: http://i.imgur.com/OfFFr.jpg

text of the error message: http://pastebin.com/hpSVgSmt

full 64-bit dxdiag: http://pastebin.com/53Eah6GR

a picture of my full task list in case of conflicts: http://i.imgur.com/NLUQ6.jpg

I hope that's enough information for you. I'm running an English install of Win 7 x64 Ultimate, I am the only user account. It's a custom profile that I made for winamp and all the joystick controls work - additionally the 1-4 custom keys work as well as the T, F and R keys. I don't think every one of the other keys gives this error, but every other one I have tried does. I uninstalled 3dxSoftware before installing 3dxWare. Also, it is not only custom macros that cause this crash - even the default ones e.g. "close tab" cause this error immediately as I click to apply them. Now, I have no experience of coding so my "ctrl x" macro may be fubar, but I would've thought that the defaults would work off the bat, so to speak :p

Thanks
Graham

Thanks, but button 4 still doesn't work. When I open Button Custimization dialog box in catia and press some of the buttons on my SpaceMouse an arrow will show up and point on actual line, but it doesn't show up for the buttons I initally had problem with.
In 3Dconnexion panel now all of the buttons have a value except button 4.
I.e. (I know it worked this way with other drivers) some of the buttons I guess works "through Catia" and other directly "through 3Dconnexion properties" so when some of the buttons doesn't work in Catia and there isn't possible to edit the buttons in 3Dconnexion properties it would not work at all..

I can't use my Escape, Control, Alt and Shift keys. They refer to, correspondently, Menu, Front, Right and Fit.
When announced that beta 12 was out i had hope because the button mapping of beta 11 didn't work at all with my SolidWorks 64x. Now the buttonmapping works fine but the buttons itself are mixed up.
It seems that 3DConnexion can't provide us decent software. :cry:

Are you referring only to the buttons in Solidworks? Do other applications work? Try deleting your user profile for your application and start over with beta 12.

Ding, ding, ding. You win the prize. That's a bug. Notice that you are pressing the Rot button, but the Roll+ button is being highlighted. 3DxConfig is confused. It will be fixed in the next beta. It affects all buttons after the Fit button. IOW, almost all of the SpaceMouse Pro buttons.

In the meantime, if you really want that to work, you have to edit the xml file, such as:
Code: Select all
   <Button>
      <Input>
         <ActionID>HIDButton_27</ActionID>
      </Input>
      <Output>
         <ActionID>CTRL+Z</ActionID>    <!-- assuming CTRL+Z is the macro name you created (look higher up in the file) -->
      </Output>
   </Button>

Thanks for pointing it out.

It's doesn't matter which application i'm using. Somehow the buttons keep being refering to the wrong ones. I allready deleted all user profiles and installed the beta 12 driver again.
I'm coming from the 3.15 driver but i've tried the beta 11 multiple times.
It would be great if this can be solved. Thanks in advance.

Support for all SpaceMouse Pro buttons was added in CATIA V5 R21 (and V6 R2012). Anything older will have limited use of buttons.

I'm sorry, M.Nijkamp, but I'm not sure what issue you are referring to.

We have posted an update to 3DxWare 10 for Windows today and you may want to have look at that. More details in the announcement post.

I've tried the new 13 update but the problem is still there.
The problem is just like a said in previous post, when I hit the 'Escape' button on my spacepilot pro, the 'menu' button action is executed (and displayed!). This is also with the Control, Alt and Shift buttons. they refer to Front, Right and Fit.
It's very annoying because they are the most used buttons
