Is SpaceMouse Pro support ever coming?

Postby Graham » Fri Jan 27, 2012 4:24 am

I have an extremely expensive paperweight on my desk whenever I'm not using 3ds Max or Photoshop. It's been a long time since the last beta release - is SpaceMouse Pro support actually being implemented?

Thank the heavens! I had to format (a lot of work, it was overdue) and decided to not bother installing the current drivers. I figured I'll use my SpaceMouse Pro again when better software comes out. After all it's only a matter of time, right? For now mine is an extremely expensive paper weight too lol. ;)

Is SpaceMouse Pro support ever coming?

jwick, 4 weeks later... is there date for next beta release with SpaceMousePro support. I too only can use my Pro mouse with one app and I am considering exchanging SpaceMousePro for SpaceExplorer if there is no support released soon. Please provide some feedback.

I am hoping for April 1. The SpaceExplorer and the SpaceMouse Pro are almost identical. The SMPro buttons are much better and it has the on-screen display to tell you what the buttons do.

Yes. Good point. Unfortunate date. It was 1 year ago that we released the first beta.

We just finished up a release of the old driver, and I have been promised resources to test the SMPro support in the 3DxWare 10 beta.

Was wondering the same thing and was impressed as the second reply expecting support soon.
Reply on April 1st

Add me to the waiting for driver list too.

We are planning a QA cycle around it. I'm hoping this will be completed in the next two weeks. But unfortunately you can't hold me to that. It will contain at least SMPro support, but also perhaps an enhancement to the response curve that we have been working on.

SMPro is a really nice equipment, and it will be perfect with 3DxWare. Hoping that it can be released soon.
