You need to contact Pixologic. They like to ignore their customer's requests. You may have to be rather assertive.

I contacted Pixologic this week, this is what they said:

"3DConnexion support for ZBrush is 100% 3DConnexion's responsibility. We cannot program our software to utilize any particular bit of hardware out there because there are hundreds of different manufacturers and devices on the market. If we were to try to program for specific hardware tools out there we would never have any time to focus on creating new features and releases of ZBrush itself. We have been in contact with 3DConnexion and have offered them our SDK development kit so that they can create their own plugin to allow their devices to work."

If 3dconnexion has Pixologics SDKs, shouldn't that be sufficient enough to develop drivers for the Zbrush application?

Seems like the ball is in 3Dconnexions court.

Just chiming in as another potential customer waiting for Zbrush support...

I'd like to hear that the two companies (Pixologic and 3Dconnexion) are making an effort to work together, rather than each saying it's the other's responsibility and nothing getting done. There are literally thousands of Zbrush users who are potential customers for 3Dconnexion, if only the proper effort was made.

If I can ask something of the 3Dconnexion reps and/or programmers, how much work is it in actuality to properly map the controllers to Zbrush and provide a driver? days? weeks? it couldn't be months... I understand time is a finite commodity and there are a lot of demands for attention from hundreds of programs, but guys, Zbrush is a big (and growing) one.

ZBrush is a terrific app. It would be fantastic with a 3D mouse interface. Unfortunately, their SDK does not allow us to do what we need to do to make it work. If it did, we would have done a plugin years ago.
